■業務1（一括受注）
英語による外国特許出願* から、その中間処理及び権利化、並びに、権利の維持を外国特許弁護士と協力して行います。とくに中国、韓国については、日本語から直接、中国語、韓国語に翻訳して出願することもできます。知財・発明者の方々と常に連絡をとりながら各国別に対応しますので、安心してお任せください。各国の特許弁護士は御社の指定でも結構ですし、弊社の協力先の特許弁護士でも結構です。海外送金を含め出願から登録、年金管理まですべて一括して取り扱います。
* ここでいう外国特許出願とは、パリ条約に基づく外国特許出願及びＰＣＴ（特許協力条約）出願後の各国への移行に伴う出願を言います。
■業務2（中途受注）
外国出願の手続きは行ったものの中間処理のスタッフが不足している、中間処理でどう対処してよいか困っているときなどに御利用頂けます。御社に在る出願に関わるデータのコピー（ファイル）を、一度弊社に移管して頂きます。その後は、弊社の方でそれまでの外国特許弁護士と協力して権利化及び権利の保全を行います。
■業務3（サポート業務）
外国出願に関する翻訳（主に英語）をお手伝い致します。この翻訳の対象となる書類には、出願のための明細書や図面のみならず、外国特許庁から発行された各種の通知（アクションなど）や、その応答書類、情報開示（ＩＤS）に伴う書類などが含まれます。許可後のクレーム内容の確認（中国語、韓国語）、名義変更手続なども行います。
■Services Offered
Service System 1 (Complete lifecycle)
PDI will prepare an English specification and drawings, and file foreign patent applications in the countries desired. PDI will handle Office Actions until grant of a patent, in cooperation with overseas patent attorneys. Patent specifications can also be directly translated into Chinese or Korean for filing in China or Korea.
Foreign patent applications may either be based on the Paris Convention, or transfer to national stages of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT). We offer our reliable services by taking timely and appropriate action, in close cooperation with overseas patent attorneys. Naturally, PDI can either work with patent attorneys nominated by clients, or with patent attorneys with whom we have long-standing relationships. In addition, we handle foreign remittance and payment of annuities.
Service System 2 (Prosecution only)
Companies or individuals can file applications by themselves, and then take advantage of PDI's broad experience with handling Office Actions. Customers only need to transfer information regarding the patent application and PDI will do the rest. After that, we directly contact the overseas patent attorneys who filed the applications, and take care of the Office Actions until the applications mature into patents.
Service System 3 (Translation Services)
We are please to offer translation services from Japanese to English, or vice versa, for any documents that are associated with patent applications. Such documents include, not only the specifications and drawings for patent applications, but also official communications (e.g. examination reports (Office Actions)) issued from foreign patent offices, responses to the official communications, documents involved in information disclosure statement (IDS) and documents involved in change of name or transfer of patent right.
